The allure of the place's marvels is one of the main reasons any of us choose to go there. What we collectively and rather loosely refer to as tourist attractions often offer enough inspiration and wonder to persuade us to go halfway across the globe to see them. Yet, not all fulfill that promise.
Which attractions are thus worth the time and money to visit, and which ones are not? Fortunately, Stasher has already done the legwork for you with their analysis of 99 of the finest and worst tourist attractions worldwide. The research used a variety of information, including Google reviews, hotel quality using Booking.com user ratings, tourist safety using WorldPopulationReview country rankings weighted by the GPI (Global Peace Index) of their host country, proximity to airport, and TikTok engagement by cumulative views.

Amazingly, Budapest's Hungarian Parliament Building takes first place. It is enormous and neo-Gothic, and it towers above the Danube and serves as the location of Hungary's National Parliament. It has a 4.8/5 rating on Google and a 7.34/10 total rating on the list. With a lower safety number indicating more safety, Hungary gets a fantastic 1.4/5 ranking for traveler safety.
The somewhat more well-known Disneyland Paris, which receives a 7.17/10, comes in second. It receives high marks for lodging quality, has a favorable 4.5/5 Google rating, and has approximately eight billion views of tagged posts on TikTok!
The Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland's most famous geothermal hot springs that gives you the impression that you're on another planet, takes third place. The 7.15/10 volcanic scenery and the waters' silica-rich, bright blue color not only revitalize body and spirit but also provide for some of the most sought-after picture opportunities. With a score of 1.1/5 on the World Peace Index, Iceland is also a very safe destination.
The Plaza de España in Seville, Spain, and Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the biggest religious structure in the world, make out the top five. The National Gallery in London and Disneyland Park California, both with scores of 6.44/10, are located at places 24 and 25, in the list of attractions in the UK and the US.

Given that this study only examined 99 tourist sites, calling them the "worst" sounds harsh; maybe "least best" would be a more accurate term.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles is the recipient of such undignified accolade, and not for the first time. A pitiful 3.42/10 was awarded to the famous row of palm and paw prints on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. While America's dismal performance in the World Peace Index—where it is ranked 3.85/5—dragged the Walk of Fame down the rankings, evaluations labeling it as "filthy" and "unsafe"—despite its Google rating of four—sounds not too awful.
The Great Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey, is not too much above it in the rankings. Despite having a wealth of history, one of the oldest and most recognized marketplaces in the world received dismal scores in practically every area, from poor visitor safety to average Google reviews.
